On June 12, 2025, a delegation from the Australian Embassy in China visited the Institute for AI International Governance of Tsinghua University (I-AIIG). Vice Dean Liang Zheng and I-AIIG researchers warmly welcomed the guests.
“We’re glad to receive our colleagues from the Australian Embassy,” said Liang Zheng in his opening remarks. He briefly outlined I-AIIG’s mission, global partnerships, and ongoing work in global AI governance. “Our goal is to foster open dialogue, support multilateral cooperation, and promote responsible AI development,” he noted.
The two sides exchanged views on a range of topics, including AI governance, policy frameworks, and global cooperation mechanisms. The visit provided an opportunity to share ideas and explore potential avenues for future academic and professional collaboration.
