Dr. Hui Zhang is currently an Associate Researcher at the School of Public Affairs, University of Science and Technology of China.
Education and Professional Experience
Dr. Zhang received his B.Eng. from the School of Computer Science and Technology at Tianjin University, his M.Eng. in Computer Software and Theory from Renmin University of China, and his Ph.D. in Technology Economics and Management from Nankai University. He also conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University.
He has held positions at Kingbase Information Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation (Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology), the School of Economics and Business Administration at Central China Normal University, the Institute for AI International Governance at Tsinghua University, and a national laboratory.
As a core member and key contributor, he has participated in major national R&D initiatives, including the “Core Electronic Devices, High-End Generic Chips and Basic Software” (核高基) program and the “New Generation Artificial Intelligence” initiative under the Science and Technology Innovation 2030 Major Projects. He has also contributed to several national strategic studies, providing policy recommendations to relevant authorities.
