On March 23, 2024, Liang Zheng, Vice Dean of the Institute for AI International Governance (I-AIIG) at Tsinghua University, engaged in discussions with Christoph Stueckelberger, President and Founder of Globethics, and Fadi Daou, Executive Director of Globethics in Beijing. This meeting was arranged at the invitation of Gong Ke, an Academic Member of I-AIIG.
Gong warmly welcomed the guests and provided an overview of China’s advancements in AI governance and data governance. Liang stated that I-AIIG is a university-level research institute focused on AI governance research and policy consultation. He expressed I-AIIG’s willingness to collaborate with Globethics to promote global governance of artificial intelligence.
Stueckelberger expressed appreciation for the opportunity to exchange ideas and hoped to deepen cooperation and exchange with I-AIIG, particularly in areas such as enhancing AI-enabled higher education and developing courses in AI governance.
Liu Chang, the Foreign Affairs Manager of I-AIIG, and Li Yang, a Postdoctoral Fellow at I-AIIG, attended the meeting.
